VOW Magazine Preview

Updated 10/19/10

This is a bouquet I made that will be featured in the upcoming VOW Magazine. Vows is a new publication by the Albany Times Union that will highlight area vendors and feauture real weddings. I am excited Splendid Stems was asked to be one of the featured wedding florists! I can't wait to see pictures from the photo shoot. Look for VOW Magazine sometime around November 2010.

Flowers include: black baccara roses, mini cymbidium orchids, white hydrangea, kiwi vine, hanging amarathus, and some coleus, sweet potato vine, and sedum from my garden.

I love using this antique baby bath to take pictures of cascading bouquets. My mother picked it up for me from a great little place on the Cape. Thanks Mom! She is always on the look out for treasures!

This next picture came out more blurry than I would have liked, but it is the only one I have. I had to include something for the groom. They need to look spiffy, it is their day too!

Mini cymbidium orchid, inky fingers coleus, Queen Annes lace, and kiwi vine.

Heritage Museums & Gardens in Cape Cod

There are so many things I will miss about the summer. Saying goodbye to my favorite perennials is always one of the hardest for me. I was feeling a bit glum today and remembered I had these photos from The Heritage Museums and Gardens located in Sandwich Massachusetts in beautiful Code Cod. I highly recommend spending a morning or afternoon there, it is a magical place. I will be making another post shortly about a special new addition to the gardens called Hidden Hollow, now that is a magical experience for adults and children alike! For now I will just share some of the loveliness I experienced. Enjoy!

There are so many great scenic spots to take wedding pictures at the Heritage Museums and Gardens. Per their website they can host wedding ceremonies and receptions of all sizes in both indoor and outdoor venues on the grounds. As I stated in a previous post, I can never get enough of Cape Cod. I would love to design wedding flowers in the Cape and already have a floral studio lined up for any destination weddings.
