I think my eyes are permanently damaged. I was in a local market yesterday and saw the horror of horrors -blue Phalaenopsis orchids. I thought I was going to vomit all over the store, but contained myself for the greater good of the people. They have a sign describing them as "Enhanced," seriously? Don't be a fool, keep walking, and hook yourself up with something created by nature. Orchids will never be blue - naturally. There are varieties that have the word blue in their name, but they are actually a shade of purple. If you want blue flowers, go for hydrangea (not the enhanced variety) , delphinium, tweedia, cornflowers, or nigella. I was tempted only by price tag ONCE to purchase dyed flowers, so happy I did not commit this almost mortal sin. I could go on and on about this, but hopefully I have educated you even if just a little bit : ) .
