A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure to design some lovely flowers for Heather and Jason's wedding at the Franklin Plaza Ballroom in Troy, New York
Heather loves tulips, the color purple, and peacock feathers! Her bouquet consisted of Picasso callas, anemones, muscari, hydrangea, purple tulips, and her favorite parrot tulips.
I love doing pretty little details on bouquet handles.
The muscari (also called grape hyacinth) smelled amazing! I happened to see it at the market and all though it was unplanned, I couldn't resist. It felt good to give into my flower lust, yes I can be wild sometimes. : )
The callas, anemone, and tulip stems added to the beauty of the bridesmaid bouquets.
Corsages of tulips, peacock feathers, and sweet peas.
Heather was meticulous with all of the details. Peacock feathers were used throughout her decor - on favor boxes, stationary, and even a fun photo booth back drop provided by her photographer, Vincent Nicholas. Here is a link to an amazing shot he took of her bouquet that he posted on Facebook. I am looking forward to seeing more of his beautiful pictures!
Heather found Splendid Stems because she is a regular follower of Kristi Gustafson Barlette's On The Edge blog on the Times Union's website. Kristi and I became friends while designing her own wedding last June sooooo I called Kristi to see if she could help me deliver the flowers to one of her favorite OTEr's. Kristi wrote a blog entry and posted some pictures from this special delivery on that day. Thanks Kristi for helping me, very fun!!!
Thank you Heather and Jason for inviting me to design your wedding flowers! Congratulations!!! Heather, you looked stunning!
