Emily & Eric - Daisy Baker's Wedding

Earlier this month I was lucky enough to design some bright and cheery wedding flowers for Emily and Eric. The two planned an elegant and intimate ceremony and celebration.

Emily carried a gorgeous (if I do say so myself) bouquet of fluffy white peonies, garden roses, and stephanotis.

Fluffalicious! I know that is not a real word, but on this blog it is because I say so :-)

Her maid of honor carried a bouquet of bright yellow callas, ranunculus, and craspedia accented by wispy grass and small lime green hydrangea.

Cute bouts! Yes, I rhymed on purpose.

The ceremony was held at the Gilead Lutheran Church. Simple and lush lemon leaf garlands with accents of baby's breathe framed the alter.

Bright yellow tulips , so happy!

Emily and Eric are Siena Alumni. Each table was named after a different building found on the Campus.

I am in love with the space and atmosphere of Daisy Baker's in Troy. Sometimes it is hard setting up a wedding that I am tempted to crash : ) .....I am trying to come up with a reason to throw a party there!!!!

Once again I was able to work with the very talented and pleasant Vincent Gizzi of Vincent Nicholas Photography! The above photos are not his (this is obvious). But I do hope to post an entry with his photos of the few weddings we have done together soon.

Congratulations Emily and Eric!!!

As Seen In...

I am excited to be able to say:

The Spring & Summer 2012 issue of WellWed New York

The above is the cover of the magazine (more like a book) on the news stands now. Unfortunately that is not one of mine on the cover, but some day! I believe in giving credit where credit is due - the cover features a beautiful bouquet from Dandeneau Flowers and the photo is from Brea McDonald.

Here is it - page 157 (this picture also appears among the contents on Page 6). OK so it may not be a full featured article with my designs, but it's a honor and a great start none-the-less! In the lower left hand corner is one of my bride's (and a friend). It is easy to see why they included Kristi in their magazine. She looks stunning with her gorgeous gown, chic lacy parasol and of course I am a big fan of her "posh" bouquet of peonies! Clark and Walker gets the credit for the photo.

Kathleen and Michael 's Canfield Casino Wedding

Kathleen and Michael were married on April 14th, and celebrated at the Canfield Casino in Saratoga Springs. As you can see from this photo, she is a classic beauty! I had so much fun meeting with her, Michael, and her sister to plan the details of her florals.  A special thank you to Matchstick Photography for taking and sharing such stunning photos of my work.

Her dress and veil were amazing! I would wear that veil every day, seriously gorgeous!

Her bouquet was composed of white hydrangea, ranunculus, lilac, sweet peas, and garden roses. The stems were wrapped in lace to complement her gown, and her Aunt's bracelet adorned the handle. I love a little sparkle when it is done tastefully. I think I will abolish the word bling from my vocabulary from now on, sparkle just sounds more girly.

I know I have said it many times, but I LOVE texture and depth. Kathleen's bouquet had it all!

Some prettiness for the bar and card table.

The card table arrangement makes me happy. It was placed on my antique metal cake plate. Recently I have acquired some replicas (not as tall) to add to my rental inventory, YAY!

Cocktail Hour. Small simple arrangements and a variety of candles were placed throughout  the parlor and tables.

Thank you so much Kathleen and Michael for choosing me to create the flowers for one of the many happiest days of your lives. Congratulations!
