Okay, today I bring you a beautiful real wedding from July. July!!!! Yowza. The wedding took place at one of my favorite venues, The Highlands Country Club. I love the Hudson Valley (my stomping grounds), and I think I have mentioned before that the setting is a great balance of elegance and what I think of as relaxed. It is classic, yet you can roast smores with your guests on their gorgeous grounds. You can wear the Vera Wang and Jimmy Choos, and receive farm to table fresh food. A good balance, it
Kristin and Steven, it was a pleasure to work with you, and hope your first 6 months of marriage have been euphoric : ) !!!
The attendants carried similar bouquets, that varied slightly from each other. I like this look. Not as modern as mono botanical, but still sets each person apart.
John took some shots of the boutonnieres and corsages. I think it is funny how he made them stand up.
The card table arrangement was perhaps my favorite of the day. I love the movement from the sweet peas and clematis.
Due to rain, they said their I dos on the front porch. Not a bad back up plan, since it is gorgeous.
The centerpieces were created in long and low wood trays. They featured garden roses, hydrangea, veronica, clematis, sweet peas, gomphrena, and ferns.
The chair backs and mantle above the sweetheart table displayed an abundance of clematis.
To see more of this wedding, take a gander at the photographer's blog. The very talented husband and wife team - Robert and Kathleen, captured their day perfectly!!!!
